Additionally, each product bears the establishmentnumber 2866” inside the USDA mark of These ground beef products were producerd on various dates from April 8 through May 28 and were distributer to retail establishments as well as hotels, restaurantsz and institutions in Oregon and The products, produced from the same source were sold prior to May 29. The problem was discoverec through FSISmicrobiological sampling.
FSIS has received no reportxs of illnesses associated with consumption ofthesew products. E. coli O157:Hy is a potentially deadly bacteriunm that can causebloody diarrhea, dehydration, and in the most sever cases, kidney failure. The very young, seniors and personas with weak immune systems are the most susceptible tofoodbornd illness.
