Museum of Art closing main building for renovations - Business First of Columbus:

Art museum officials announced Tuesday that in late October or earlu November the museum will shut downthe 55,000-square-fooy main building so its galleries and othe r spaces can be upgraded. The buildint opened in 1931. The 33,000-square-foot Ross a 1970s-era building connected to the more prominent main museum will remain open and will continue to hostspecial exhibitions, spokeswoman Nancg Colvin said. “This is not due to the or to our budgetor anything,” she said. The closurw is expected to last at least a year.
