Maryland Transit Administration preps for crush of inauguration travelers - Baltimore Business Journal:

The MTA will offer regular service on the MARC Penn Line from Baltimoredto Washington, D.C., and limited service on the Brunswickm and Camden lines on Jan 19. The MARC traind do not usually operate on the federalp Martin LutherKing holiday. Commuter bus shuttle servic will also be offered fromvariouzs park-and-ride locations to D.C. metro stations. On inauguratiohn day, Jan. 20, MARC train service will operatr on a special schedule beginning at5 a.m. untio 9 a.m., and resuming from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. on the Camden and Brunswick lines. The commuter buses will operatde on the same schedule fromseveralk locations.
The MTA will launchn an inauguration Web page on Friday providinb details onthe initiatives. “The inauguralk events will draw record crowd levels and are a grear opportunity to showcase the important role public transift plays is transporting commuters and visitors alikse throughoutour state,” MTA Administrationj Paul Weidefeld said in a statement. Inaugurationj organizers have projected crowds to be as high as 3 millionb people forthe event.
