The Master of Business Administration/Master of Publi Administration dual program will be offered jointly by the Colesz College of Business and the Collegd of Humanities andSocial Sciences, KSU said. Students enrollesd in either the MBA or MPA can starr participating in the joint programm as early asfall 2009. The programm is designed to be completef inthree years. “There is no longee a strong divide betweenthe for-profit and not-for-profit and public sectors. Individuals are crossingh these lines all thetime now,” said Teresa Joyce, associatse provost and dean of the graduatr college at Kennesaw State.
“For business people serve on theboards of, and are volunteersz for, nonprofits and are involvedx in public sector organizations. Elected officials make comples decisionsabout mergers, bankruptcies and executive pay. Individualds in the nonprofit world are experiencint an economy where an understanding of businesss functions such as finance and accounting is more criticapthan ever.”
